1:12 Honda NSR500 '84 (Full-View Version) 14126
This item allows the model kit builder to assemble the Honda NSR500 '84 (which appeared as Item 14121) using clear parts, allowing full view of the details of the bike’s interior which would otherwise be obscured by the machine’s coloured cowlings. Of particular interest are the expansion chambers and fuel tank, which are positioned above and below the engine respectively in a rather unique layout.
Despite having taken the 1983 500cc Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix Riders' Championship on the 2-stroke V3 engine NS500, Honda did not rest on their laurels, developing their own 4-cylinder engine. The engine was installed into the NSR500, aiming at continuing the Japanese team's success in the following 1984 season. What really got people talking, however, were a unique aluminum frame to house the engine and a radical layout in which the expansion chambers and the fuel tank were positioned above and below the engine respectively. Come the 1984 season, 3 victories for F. Spencer and 1 for R. Mamola proved that the bike had substance as well as style. This model features clear cowl parts to enable you to get a good look at the unique layout which captivated the bike racing world.
