1:12 Peugeot 905 Evo1 Bis LM1992

The World Endurance Championship (WEC) began in 1982 as a series based on Group C car regulations, which was renamed WSPC in 1986, and in 1991 the regulations were changed to only naturally aspirated engines with a displacement of 3,500cc, the same as F1 at the time, and it was further renamed Sportscar World Championship (SWC). Manufacturers that were already competing in Group C, such as Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes, and Jaguar, participated under these new regulations, and Peugeot was a new entrant at this time.
Peugeot's racing department, led by Jean Todt, a Frenchman who would later achieve great success with Ferrari F1 and become president of the FIA, set its sights on the new Group C regulations as the target of its ambition to win a new championship after its success in the WRC and the Paris-Dakar Rally. Peugeot's
first Group C car, the "905," was completed in 1990. The chassis was manufactured by aircraft manufacturer Dassault, and it had a carbon chassis and monocoque that borrowed from the F1 trend at the time, and was equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.5L V10 engine. The 905 debuted at the end of 1990 and entered full-scale competition in 1991 when the new regulations were introduced. However, at the instruction of Director Todt, who was impressed by the Jaguar XJR-14, which adopted a structure closer to F1, an improved model was quickly developed, and the "905 Evo1," which had lighter weight and increased engine power, competed in the 1991 season. However, the Evo1 was only a minor update, and a fully improved version appeared in the fifth race of 1991. This second (bis in French) improved version was the "905 Evo1 Bis". The 905 Evo1 Bis had a cowl design that significantly improved the aerodynamics, including the airflow from the front to the side radiators. The 905 Evo1 Bis retired at the Nürburgring, where it made its debut, but won consecutive races at Magny-Cours and Mexico City, and also won the second race of the following year, Silverstone, at Silverstone, and was finally ready to take on the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1992. At Le Mans, the 905 Evo1 Bis won a race against the Toyota TS010 and the Mazda MX-R01, a machine derived from the XJR-14, and then went on to win consecutive races at Donington, Suzuka, and Magny-Cours after Le Mans, winning the series championship. In the final race of 1992, the new car "905 Evo2" was introduced, but it did not run in the final. In the following year, 1993, the 905 Evo1 Bis, which had an improved transmission, won Le Mans again, achieving J. Todd and his team's goal of dominating the sports car racing championship. [Kit Details] ■This kit is a model of the #1 905 Evo1 Bis, which won the 1992 Le Mans 24 Hours, and the #2 car, which came in third. ■This is a multi -material kit using white metal, urethane resin, metal lathes, etching parts, rubber tires, decals, and various cords. ■Each part, the wheels, wheel shafts, nuts, light rims, and engine funnels, are made of lathes to reproduce the texture of the car.
