With their last championship title in 1983, Ferrari continued to struggle in the 1990s. Alan Prost would depart the team in 1991 and Jean Alesi took over as head driver. Later, former Ferrari designer John Bernard would make a return and designed the “412T1” for the 1994 season. The 412T1 was updated to 412T1B at the San Marino GP of that year to match regulation changes, and gradually the team was becoming competitive again.
The following year of 1995 saw the coming of Bernard's newly designed machine for the season – the 412T2. The 412T2 has a conservative design that did not follow the aerodynamic high nose trend for the time and opted for a low nose instead, and was equipped with Ferrari's traditional 12-cylinder engine. Despite the lack of new innovations the 412T2 was able to put up a fight against Williams and Benetton, the top two teams of the time. During the Italian GP Alesi and Berger were able to lead one-two at the front before both suffered retirements near the end of the race.
However the most memorable race would be Rd 6 in Canada, where J.Alesi managed to win his first and ever F1 victory on his own birthday. The victory was symbolic in many ways: it was the last win for any V12 engine car, and under the car number “27” - the same number used by past Ferrari ace Gilles Villeneuve, with the race taking place on the track named after the same ace. This victory was Ferrari's only win for the season, but the victory was marked by various legacies that made it special.
In the following year Alesi would leave the team and be replaced with Michael Schumacher, bringing in the champion car number “1”. and the V12 engine being replaced by V10 instead. While this brought a lot of old traditions to an end, it also marked the start of Ferrari's comeback into the F1 scene.

• Body cowl and nose can be removed after completion, allowing for full view of the detailed interior.
• Decals mainly provided by Cartograf, including sponsor logos and carbon fiber patterns for areas around wing/monocoque.
• Tyres from pre-printed with maker logo.
