JOE HONDA Sportscar Spectacles by HIRO No.12 : Can-Am1971 featuring “Round 2 Mont-Tremblant / Round4 Watkins Glen / Round 8 Edmonton / Round 9 :Laguna Seca”
The No. 12 of the sportscar history series “Sportscar Spectacles by HIRO” will be covering the 1971 Can-Am race, in long “Canadian American Challenge Cup”, which was started and famous at the end of the ’60s and the ’70s in the North America.
The evolved M8F was debuted and driven by Dennis Hulme and his teammate Peter Revson from the Works McLaren team, and advantages were gained since the tricky rival Chaparral Cars was retired. However this issue will be featuring other machines that are more unique. For example Jackie Stewart of the Lola with his T260, the Shadow Mk. II from the AVS, the Porsche 917/10 which strictly followed the Can-Am specification. The Works Porsche 917 and Ferrari 512 at the Watkins Glen will also be introduced. Last but not least, the “most close to F1″ Japanese, Hiroshi Kazato, with the Lola T220 will also be the featuring in this issue. Please enjoy this nostalgic mood and also informative content!
